Our Partners
Our Corporate partners help Rebuilding Together Sandoval County improve the lives of families in Sandoval County living in unsafe and unhealthy homes. With their generous support, we were able to complete the projects listed below.
CORPORATE PARTNERS
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico is proud to support community-based programs that help to improve the health and wellness of children and families in New Mexico. They are dedicated to sharing the stories of how community partners make a difference and are supporting Rebuilding Together Sandoval County with a Blue Impact grant. This funding supports RTSC's Home Repairs for Low-Income Families program.
Budget Dumpster
Budget Dumpster is a dumpster rental company that serves homeowners, business owners and nonprofits across the United States. We recently partnered with Budget Dumpster in May 2023 where we used one of their roll off dumpsters during a deck and fence demolition to help a local veteran. Budget Dumpster covered the cost of the rental and waste disposal through its in-kind Dumpster Donation program, which supports nonprofits.
Clayton Homes
Clayton Homes is a new 2023 partner for RTSC. They put their goal of "develop housing innovations that improve lives and build a better tomorrow" into action. They approached RTSC about partnering on a project in Sandoval County. We will be doing two home build days with Clayton Team Members from the local Clayton Homes as well as representatives from their national office. We're excited to start this partnership and welcome their commitment to our community.
Marathon
Marathon Petroleum Company supports RTSC with Community Investment Contributions, to be used for home repairs in Placitas, NM where Marathon operates a petroleum pipeline. We greatly appreciate their support to improve the quality of life for residents in our community.
PNM Resources Foundation
PNM Resources Foundation has supported RTSC since 2019 through its Vision Grant program. PNM shares a vision of New Mexico having affordable housing, reduced homelessness, safe and vibrant communities. PNMR has funded six RTSC projects providing much-needed home repairs for low-income families. Our work has promoted affordable housing, by allowing families to stay in their existing homes. We have also promoted PNMR’s energy conservation objectives by replacing inefficient single pane windows with modern, energy-efficient, low-E dual pane windows in multiple homes.
Sandia National Laboratories
Sandia National Laboratories (Sandia) offers competitive Community Investment grants to support non-profit organizations that are helping families in crisis provide and sustain a stable home environment, especially for families with children. RTSC received one of these corporate grants from Sandia in 2022 and the funds will be used to provide a stable home environment for families by correcting significant housing problems that impact the ability of the family to remain in their home safely. Our program will bridge the gap between the extreme need for home repairs among low-income households and the lack of available comprehensive home repair services in our county.
The Home Depot
Home Depot began partnering with RTSC in the Spring of 2023. 24 Home Depot volunteers joined our Rebuild Team to repair a decaying deck and replace half of a missing fence for a veteran and his wife. Home Depot provided all the necessary materials as well as the volunteer labor who made up our deck, fence, and stair build teams. Given Home Depot's commitment to our community, they also added new landscaping and cleared the entire yard of weeds. The homeowners were beyond thrilled. Their wheelchair ramp now connects to their deck, and they can safely come and go from their front and back doors. RTSC is excited to partner with the team from Home Depot and are already scheduling our next projects.
United Way of North Central New Mexico
RTSC was awarded a United Way of North Central New Mexico Community Impact Grant for another year extending their support to June 2023. The newest grant represents an increase in funding over past years and will allow us to serve another 36 families this year. Our work aligns with the UWNCNM mission by promoting housing stability and safety in underserved communities in Sandoval County.
U.S. Department of Agriculture
RTSC has partnered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) agency to provide essential home repairs for low-income households in rural communities within Sandoval County. USDA RD has awarded two Housing Preservation Grants to RTSC which will be used to provide no-cost home modifications and critical repairs for qualified families to improve safety and accessibility in the home and preserve aging structures. Grant funding will be used to repair 38 homes in Sandoval County.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Canyon Blues and Jazz
Canyon Blues and Jazz, a local nonprofit, organizes the musical events in Placitas throughout the summer months. RTSC receives proceeds from the ticket sales at selected concerts. These events are a great way for the community to celebrate local musicians and non-profits while enjoying each other’s company in our beautiful part of the world. We thank everyone at Canyon Blues and Jazz for their support.
Foundation For Building
RTSC recently received a generous donation from the Foundation for Building, a nonprofit corporation based here in New Mexico. Rebuilding Together was chosen for this donation since our mission aligns with the foundation’s goals of community, sustainability, and the built environs.
Jardineros de Placitas
Jardineros de Placitas is a local organization that supports the greater Placitas community through monetary donations to schools and agencies serving Sandoval County. RTSC received a generous donation of $1,000 from various group members of Jardineros de Plactias during their monthly meeting in March 2023. Their generous support allows us to continue to improve the lives of our neighbors in Sandoval County who are in need of safe and healthy housing.
